The developers spoke more about The Walking Dead The Final Season, which brings protagonist Clementine to the centre stage once again, and confirmed the recently leaked season 2 of their Batman game, Batman: The Enemy Within will launch with the first of five episodes on August 8th. The Wolf Among Us season 2 wasn’t the only announcement Telltale Games made however. There are a number of stories to tell and characters to take inspiration from here, which is why fans have been desperate to see more from Telltale’s rendition of the universe.

The story of the Fable series sees fantastical creatures from fairy tales brought to life, living among humans in a place called Fabletown after their homeland was overtaken by a force known as The Adversary. The inspiration for The Wolf Among Us came from the critically acclaimed Fable comics. These choices, along with quick time events, are at the core of Telltale’s episodic games because they allow the player to interact with the world without distracting from the story. Each episode added to the game’s story, giving players choices to make that would affect the outcome of events in later episodes.

The Wolf Among Us was released over the course of 20 through five episodes. The Wolf Among Us Season 2 is expected to launch sometime in the second half of 2018 for Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as iOS and Android devices. Just days before, earlier this week, Telltale’s Head Of Communications Job Stauffer had told fans that he worried about getting their hopes us, pointing to a recent thread on Reddit where the developers told fans the cliffhanger ending was left open for them to speculate on.

The developers made the reveal through a short video that included producers of the game and the voice actors of both Bigby and Snow, characters from the title. Telltale announces The Wolf Among Us season two, days after telling fans not to get hopes up Plus the final Walking Dead and more Batman.
Telltale Games made the announcement that The Wolf Among Us will return in 2018 at Comic-con 2017. Telltale fans have been pestering the developer for a second season of the game for three years, and finally that pestering has paid off.

That game’s based on the Netflix series of the same name, and was announced during The Game Awards in December.

As for the “and more” bit, the safe money’s on an update on upcoming sci-fi adventure The Expanse. However, in 2019, LCG Entertainment acquired key assets of the studio, and Telltale was reborn. Telltale managed to complete the fourth season of The Walking Dead in this time, but the company's closure shelved any future projects. We’ll find out more on Wednesday, and see how The Wolf Among Us 2 is coming along. Telltale announced The Wolf Among Us Season 2 in 2017 but experienced a majority closure the following year, forcing the company to lay off the bulk of its workforce. Development duties, last we heard, were also being handled by AdHoc Studios who are a team of former Telltale developers. The new company set to work on preserving existing Telltale Games, such as The Walking Dead series, before moving into new games such as this one. The original Telltale was dissolved a year before, but the name was revived by LCG Entertainment.
It’ll be the first we’ve seen of the game since it was back on the table in 2019.
The event will be held across both Twitch and YouTube. It’s inviting fans to join them and host Geoff Keighley for a a “behind the scenes” look at the game, and more, from 6pm UK time.
